Prohibited & Restricted Imports
Bangladesh places controls on imports of some items currently listed in the Import Policy Order 2015-2018 at the website of the Office of the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports (http://www.ccie.gov.bd/).
Prohibited Items
The following articles are prohibited from shipment to all countries served by RGS:
- Dangerous goods / Hazardous materials (following IATA regulations for Express and Expedited, and following ADR regulations for Standard)
- Explosives
- Firearms or air rifles
- Flammable products of any type
- Furs
- Ignitable Gas
- Incapacitating Sprays
- Ink or Toner Cartridges
- Ivory and ivory products
- Knives or weapons
- Live animals
- Meat or animal products
- Money and negotiable items
- Nail Varnish
- IATA restricted articles
- Passports
- Perfume, aftershave and other fragrances
- Plants
- Poisons
- Pornographic materials
- Seeds
- Tobacco and tobacco products
- White goods (Such as cookers/fridges/washing machines)
- Currency(Cash & Cash equivalent instruments in bearer form)
- Dangerous goods
- Precious & Semi-Precious Items
- Commodities banned by Law at any given time without prior notice
- Any transport which would be likely to cause damage, or lag to equipment, personnel or other shipments
- Liquids & Semi-liquids
- Any item whose carriage is prohibited by any law, statute or regulations of the country of origin or destination, or of any country through which the shipment may transit.
- Foodstuffs / Perishable (Food and beverages requiring refrigeration or other environmental control)
- Live animals & plants
- Acids
- Aerosols
- Aftershave
- Alcoholic beverages
- Animal skins (non-domesticated)
- Articles of exceptional value (e.g., works of art, antiques, precious stones, gold and silver)
- Batteries containing liquid
- Bleach
- Compressed Gas
